Junior Counselor Job Description

Bayview Christian Camp is seeking four (two female, two male) junior camp counselors (between the ages of 14-17+) for this summer (2026). The positions run on site at Bayview from June 21 to August 17. Bayview is located on Deer Island, NB and will be running camps for children and youth ages 8-17. Junior Camp Counselor Job Responsibilities:
Participate in staff training prior to camp sessions
Work collaboratively under the supervision of the camp director and dean to deliver camp activities and to maintain Bayview Camp clean and guest ready
Be present and involved with the campers in the daily camp schedule and present in a cabin with campers at night
Lead by example to motivate and encourage campers to be involved in all activities
Help provide supervision of campers, ensuring their safe enjoyment of camp
Be available to talk with campers
Help campers maintain cleanliness of their cabins
Become familiar with emergency procedures of camp
Hours/Wage
This is a full-time plus position from June 21 to August 17 with a competitive wage/salary. If offered a position, an employment contract will be drafted.
